You can browse the library’s music collection by genre within the MCC Library Catalog.  On the right side of the catalog homepage is a box called Catalog Searches.  Click on CALL_NUMBER.  In the call number search field, type in one of the following musical genres:

Bluegrass

Blues

Children

Choral

Classical

Country

Folk

Holiday

Jazz

Musical

New Age

Orchestral

Opera

Piano

Popular

R&B/soul

Rap

Rock

Soundtrack

World

Entering a genre from the above list and pressing search will pull up a list of items organized by call number. The call numbers of the items in the library’s music collection begin with the genre name. You can navigate with the links marked previous and next (found towards the top of the screen).

To browse the entire collection, head to the MCC catalog’s main search screen. Choose CD Case from the drop down menu marked Location and press search (browsing by genre is a lot more effective).

If you have any additional questions, please contact the MCC Library Reference Desk.
