There are a few different ways an Illinois resident can register to vote:

  1. You can register in person at your local County Clerk's Office. If you live in McHenry county, the County Clerk's Office is located in Woodstock:

Office of McHenry County Clerk
McHenry County Administration Building
667 Ware Road, Suite 107
Woodstock, IL  60098
(815) 334-4242

     2. You can also register to vote using the Illinois Online Voter Application.

     3. For information on registering by mail, head to the Illinois State Board of Elections Website.

     4. Visit the Crystal Lake Public Library - they have Voter Registrars available during regular library hours.

As a registered voter you must keep your name and address current. If you've changed your name or address (or if you have any other questions regarding the status of your registration or the registration process), be sure to notify the County Clerk's Office in person or using the phone number listed above.
