To access a database offered by the MCC library from off campus, login with your myMCC username and password. To access your username or reset your password, go to and click Password Reset/Find Username.

If you are still having issues accessing a database:

  1. Make sure that you are accessing the resource from the MCC Library home page. These links will take you through the off-campus authenticator that is needed to access the resource. 

  2. Double check the typing/spelling of your username and password. Be sure to manually type your username and password. 

  3. Log in to myMCC to confirm that your login is working. You may have to create a new password.

  4. Call the reference desk for assistance at (815) 455-8762.

  5. Contact the IT Help Desk at (815) 455-8457.

Remember: Some library resources can only be accessed from campus. When in doubt, check the database's description in the A to Z list. Other resources will ask you to set up an account before you can access content. Also, most of our databases give you the option of creating an account for greater functionality.
